Amanda Wall
“The aura portraits express our fragility. My cast of characters are portrayed shrouded in their individual spirit color, intuitively assigned in the process of creation. I believe our inner being will shine through transparently, as a protective barrier against suffering and trauma. As a descendant of English pioneers and Cherokee Native American ancestors, Wall illustrates that dichotomy is the essence of American identity. Although she still embraces grit and determination in her mark-making, she has more faith in the collective consciousness of our spirits.”
